Description
Organic mung beans originate from East Asia and have been used for centuries in eastern diets and medicine. Organic mung beans take on the flavour of the sauce you cook them with, be it sweet or savoury. When eaten raw, they have a clean and crisp taste. They have a hearty flavour when cooked and are packed with healthy nutrients such as protein and fibre. These mung beans are also fair trade.
How to Use
After rinsing, add one part mung beans and three parts salted water to a pot and bring to a boil. Allow it to boil for a couple of minutes before lowering it so a simmer, cover with a lid, and cook for about 45 minutes until al dente. They can be used blended to make dips or blended to thicken soup.
Production Process
Mung beans are harvested and brought to the factory where they are cleaned (removing stones etc.). After this, the beans are selected on size, polished, and packed.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, and keep out of direct sunlight.
