Organic Yellow Split Lentils are commonly used to thicken and add color to soups and stews. They are similar to red split lentils in taste and texture. Yellow lentils can be cooked to your liking – shorter cooking times will result in lentils with more bite and longer cooking times will result in softer lentils.
How to Use
Yellow split lentils are ideal for mashed stews and soups. Cooking time is anywhere between 15-25 minutes depending on desired texture. Optional: use water or vegetable broth for flavour.
Harvest, cleaning, sieving, destoning, dehulling, sieving, metal detection and packing.
Store in a cool, dry place, and keep out of direct sunlight.
