Description

Red split lentils have a relatively fast cooking time (compared to other legume varieties) and a slightly sweet and nutty flavor. They boast a high fibre and protein content making them a staple in any vegan or vegetarian pantry. Add them to soups, or stews, or if you are curious try misir wot – a traditional East African red lentil dish.

How to Use
Red split lentils take around 10-15 minutes to cook and can get quite soft when cooked 15 minutes or longer. Use water or vegetable broth for flavour.

Production Process
Harvest, raw material to factory, sieving, magnet metal detector, peeling skin, control sieving, and packing.

Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, and keep out of direct sunlight.
