Description
Our Decaf Coffee Organic is a blend of coffee beans from South America and Central America. The beautiful, soft base is laid by Brasils. Beautiful Guatemalas from Antigua provide a nice acidity. The Peru Chanchamayo adds the floral fruity notes and a hint of chocolate.
How is our Decaf Coffee Organic produced?
To make this delicious decaf coffee possible, the caffeine is extracted from the coffee after blending with great care. The method used for this is the CO2 method. This method uses carbon dioxide in a hypercritical state. That means it is on the verge of liquid to gaseous state. The CO2 method has the great advantage that no (toxic) solvents are used, which means this procedure is very environmentally friendly. This decaf coffee is produced with respect for nature and animals, without chemical pesticides, fertilizers and/or preventive antibiotics.
Decaffeination removes about 97% or more of the caffeine in coffee beans. A typical cup of decaf coffee has about 2 mg of caffeine, compared to a typical cup of regular coffee which has about 95 mg of caffeine.
Decaf coffee can be for everybody, specially for those who are sensitive to caffeine but enjoy the taste of coffee, being also helpful with caffeine-induced health problems, caffeine-induced anxiety and digestive/dehydration problems
