Our organic Chinese jasmine tea is naturally flavoured with jasmine blossoms. The blossoms are spread in layers after the tea has been produced and aromitized for about 12 hours. This creates a fine jasmine aroma. This green tea is best brewed with fresh water at a temperature of 85ºC as higher temperatures will leave the tea bitter. This tea is best steeped for a short duration to further avoid bitterness.
How to use
Add fresh water at about 85ºC to 2 sizeable teaspoons of our organic jasmine tea and let it steep for 3 minutes. Boiled water can be left to cool until it has reached this temperature. This will allow for oxygen to build in the water that the tea can bind to. For a stronger tea, simply add more tea instead of letting it steep for longer to avoid bitterness. Loose leaf tea keeps its flavour for around 18 months, but can retain most of it for up to 3 years if stored properly.
Store in a cool, dark place, and keep out of direct sunlight.
