Description
This lovely sweet, organic mango is the perfect snack voor both children as adults. The dried mango is a bit more intensive as fresh mango, but it has the same sweet taste. A handful of mango strips is perfect as healthy solution for the nice appetite, but of course, you can do a lot more with it. For example, try making a spicy-sweet mango chutney, or cut the mango strips and mix them together with coconut chips for a tropical granola. The yellow-orange color of mango originates, just like carrots, from the high grade of beta-carotene, a form of pro-vitamine A. Your body can convert beta-carotene in vitamin A. This is i.e. necessary to ensure good functioning of your eyesight.
Mango is not only a low-calorie fruit that is high in fibre, and a great source of vitamins A and C. It also contains folate, B6, iron and a little calcium, zinc and vitamin E. Mangoes are a good source of antioxidants, containing certain phytochemicals such as gallotannins and mangiferin which have been studied for their health benefits.
Mango strips taste just like mangoes, but the taste and sweetness is much more concentrated than in its fresh cousin. It’s crispy but soft at the same time. It smells like natural mango but tastes much better.
How to Use
Serve on its own, with other dried fruits, as a topping on your porridge- or cereal bowl, or as a decoration on cakes and sweets.
