Description
Organic bread flour is the ideal flour for bread-making. Use bread flour to make pizza, focaccia, dumplings, sourdough bread, bagels, pretzels and more. Bread flour is a high-gluten flour that gives a chewier texture to your baked goods and works well in combination with low-gluten or gluten-free flours such as rye or whole wheat. As bread flour has a higher protein content than all-purpose flour, it is generally considered to be more nutritious.
How to Use
Follow this recipe to make an easy no knead bread at home. Combine 3 cups bread flour, 1/4 teaspoon yeast, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 1/2 cups hot water (not over 54° C) to a bowl and mix well with a rubber spatula. Cover the mixture tightly and let the flour rise for at least 3 hours. Put the risen dough on a well floured surface and flour the top of the dough as well. Using a scraper or other flat instrument, gently work the dough for about 10-20 seconds to give it more of a round shape without letting the air out. Transfer the dough to a bowl with parchment paper and cover with a towel. Add an oven safe pot (and lid) to the oven and preheat it to 232° C. After your oven reaches the required temperature, transfer the dough with the parchment paper directly to the pot, cover with the lid and bake for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, remove the lid and parchment paper and bake the bread uncovered for another 10-25 minutes (or until desired crispiness is reached).
