Description
Organic whole wheat flour is typically used in baking of bread and other baked goods. It can be mixed with bread flour to make pizza dough or fluffy focaccia-like bread. Whole wheat flour is coarser than all-purpose white flour and more nutritious.
How to Use
Wholewheat flour is all-purpose flour's more nutrient dense cousin. You can use a 1:1 ration of the two flours while baking. You can also make easy vegan wholewheat pancakes. Mix together 2 cups whole wheat flour, 2 tablespoons baking powder and 1 teaspoon salt. In a separate bowl, mix the rest of the ingredients: 2 tablespoons melted coconut oil, 2 1/2 cups unsweetened soy milk, 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup and 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract. Once smooth, add some to a heated skillet and fry until golden brown on both sides. Top with seasonal fruit and maple syrup. Enjoy!
