Pearl barley, one of the oldest and most treasured grainsโ€š is used all around the world. Our pearl barley has had the bran partially removed, resulting in quicker cooking time. It is a hearty grain that is wonderful in risottos and soups, including classic dishes like vegetable barley soup.

How to Use
To use pearled barley, rinse 1 cup of barley and add to a pot with 3 cups of water and a pinch of salt. Bring it to a boil, cover, let it simmer until the water has evaporated and fluff with a fork. Combine your cooked barley with cucumber, radishes and spinach for a healthy and filling lunch. Optional: add fruit, nuts, lemon juice or dressing.
