Description
Organic Blanched Almonds are almonds without skins. Almonds are blanched in boiling water, submerged into cold water, then placed through rollers that tear their skin off.Β After, they are dried with air. Because the skin is removed, blanched almonds have a less bitter taste and are more smooth. Even without the skin, organic blanched almonds are a rich source of fiber, protein, and vitamin E. Β Almonds are very versatile and can be used in a number of sweet and savory dishes and often used to make milk.
How to Use
Blanched almonds are used in numerous recipes, for example, to make almond butter and flour.
To make almond butter, place the almond on parchment paper and bake for 12 minutes at 180 degrees. This would release the almond's natural oils; however, you can skip this step by adding neutral oils such as avocado oil. Whether with oil or not, blend the almonds in a high-performing blender, make sure all the almonds come into contact with the blades, perhaps stop the blender, and mix the almonds with a spoon then blend again. At first, the almonds will turn to the flour and gradually to butter.
Production Process
Almonds are blanched to remove the skin. After that the almonds are air-dried and packed.
