Description
Organic whole grain penne pasta is high in B vitamins and minerals, with a starchy wheat flavour that pairs well with pesto and tomato-based sauces. Our penne rigate have the taste of smooth penne lisce, with the texture of a ridged pasta, which helps sauces stick to the pasta.
How to Use
Wholewheat pasta takes a bit longer to cook but is more nutrient dense because it contains all three parts of the wheat grain - bran, germ, and endosperm. Bring a pot of water with salt to a rolling boil, add your penne, and cook for about 8 minutes or until your desired texture is reached. Add an easy vegan cheese (see tapioca starch) or your favorite pasta sauce and enjoy!
Production Process
Addition of water to semolina, extrusion under vacuum (low speed rpm), pre-drying, 1st and final low temperature drying process and 1st quality inspection storage into silos, final quality control packaging, metal detector.
