Description

Organic Maple Sugar is a customary sweetener in Canada and the northeastern part of the United States. It is made from the sap of maple trees and was originally created by native Americans. Back then, it was convenient to use as it is easy to transport and lasts for a long time. There are three species of maple trees primarily used to make maple sugar: the sugar maple, the black maple, and the red maple tree.  To make maple sugar, the sap needs to boil until almost all of the water evaporates and crystals are formed. Regarding the taste, maple sugar is similar to maple syrup: it has a strong maple flavor and aroma.

How to Use
Organic maple sugar can be used in recipes in the same way as cane sugar. You can sweeten drinks, oatmeal, and use it in baking. When using maple sugar in baking, it acts just like regular granulated sugar and can be creamed with butter for cookies and cakes.

Production Process
Sap collected, boiled, evaporated until only crystals are left.
