The Organic Arborio Risotto Rice is an Italian variety of short grain rice. Cooked, the grains are round, firm, creamy and chewy, thanks to the high content of amylopectin in the starch of this variety. It is the best type of rice to prepare risotto.
The key to cooking the organic arborio risotto rice is by slowly adding hot water or broth until al dente. When cooked, it releases starch, thus achieving a more compact result and thicker grains. Due to the amylose content (starch molecule), it absorbs the flavour of the foods that accompany it very well. As it is not milled like the other long-type rice grains, it retains more of the starch that it later releases during cooking and therefore makes it creamier.
In addition, arborio rice is considered a great source of energy for our body due to its high carbohydrate content, prevents constipation due to its large amount of fiber and has a high nutritional value.
Cook it to its exact point, a time that ranges between 14 and 16 minutes.
